Warm Home Discount scheme
Please find attached information on the SSE Warm Home Discount scheme which is now open for applications. The annual scheme provides a range of support for customers in particular circumstances, including those with a disability, long term illness, or who are elderly and on a low income. The assistance available includes a credit towards winter fuel bills, debt relief, free energy efficient appliances and benefit entitlement checks.

Proposed Closure of Service Points
Considerable concern was expressed by the Community Council at last night's meeting at Highland Council’s proposal to close most of the Service Points across the Highland area.

Town Centre Regeneration
Tain has been granted finance to look at the possibilities of Town Centre Regeneration.
In late April there will be two days of public meetings (sometimes called a “Charrette") to gather and put together ideas which can be used to draw up a Town Centre Action Plan.
This plan can then be used to bid for funding for Town Centre Development Projects.
